CCHS Welcomes Director of Development

West Chester, PA -- Allison Snavely of West Chester, PA brings 10 years of community involvement and achievement to the Chester County Historical Society.

CCHS is delighted to announce that Snavely began as Director of Development in late November. She will work with the Trustees, Development Committee, President and Director of Collections on several key projects including fund raising for the exciting permanent gallery project, managing CCHS membership and Heritage Fund, and the upcoming exhibit opening in February, Many Nations | Chester County. She will also oversee the sponsorship, sales and communication for the 2018 36th Annual Chester County Antiques and Art Show (March 9 – 11 at Church Farm School) and the Society’s 125th Anniversary Fall Event. 

Through Allison’s experience as Managing Editor of Fig Kennett and Fig West Chester and as Vice President of Sales for VISTA.Today, she brings to CCHS a unique mix of sales, marketing, event planning and cultivation of strategic community relationships. 

“We are excited at the many ways CCHS will benefit from Allison’s incomparable energy and knowledge of the Chester County community,” says CCHS President, Elizabeth Laurent. “Her dedication to CCHS’s educational mission and business devolvement expertise will be of great value to the Society.”

A native of Lancaster County, Snavely is a graduate of West Chester University, a member of the Greater West Chester Rotary, and currently enrolled in Leadership Chester County.
