Built in 1860, Faunbrook is an elegant bed & breakfast located on a lush two-acre estate in the Southwest Quarter of West Chester. It provides the quintessential venue for discovering the historic borough. Urban explorers will enjoy wandering the lanes of West Chester University, through the neighborhoods of row homes, and to the old town section of West Chester where every block tells a story.

Originally known as Faunbrook Manor, it was built for Smedley Darlington and designed by noted architect Samuel Sloan. It features large, dramatic common area rooms including a library and winter porch. Details such as Monticello windows and intricate mahogany millwork provide the graceful dignity of Victorian elegance.

There are six warmly decorated guest rooms, including two suites with fireplaces, that give each guest to Faunbrook a quiet, relaxing experience. The sweeping porch and gazebo invite guests to enjoy the bucolic nature of the Brandywine Valley. A delightful watercourse and pond, along with a large brick patio, offer outdoor settings for events.
