Chester County Antique Show opens March 18
West Chester, PA -- The 29th Annual Chester County Antique Show, presented by the Chester County Historical Society, will take place at the Westtown School (975 Westtown Road) on March 18 - 20, 2011.
This year includes 58 exceptional dealers, featuring 18th & 19th Century American and continental furniture, rugs, paintings, porcelain, glass, silver, jewelry, needlework and other decorative arts.
The Preview Party is Friday, March 18th, with early admission at 5:00 pm. Regular admission begins at 6:00 pm and continues until 9:00 pm. Weekend show hours are Saturday, 10am to 7pm and Sunday 11am to 5pm.
On Saturday, March 19th, at 1pm, there is a lecture called “Quilt Scene Investigation” by Dawn Heefner, a member of the National Association of Appraisers. This is followed at 3pm by a lecture called “A Study on Ceramics” by Margaret Johnson Sutor, Vice President of the Transferware Collector’s Club. Each lecture is $5 with paid admission. On March 20th, expert appraisals will be provided between 11am and 1pm, $5 per item with paid admission.
