With the opening of the Hotel Warner and a rebounding tourism market, the West Chester BID is positioning downtown as a place to explore and enjoy as an anticipated 3-million visitors travel to Southeast Pennsylvania in 2013.
The BID is currently placing ads in more than 25 print, broadcast, and websites, including:
- The New Yorker
- Pennsylvania Vacation Magazine
- Pennsylvania Tourist Map
- Brandywine Visitor’s Channel
- Philadelphia Visitors map
- Preservation Magazine
- Fig Magazine
- County Lines Magazine
- Main Line Today
The goal is to distribute 80,000 downtown brochures and magazine visitor guides and to increase traffic at DowntownWestChester.com from its current level of 500 visits a day.
In total, more than 5-million advertising and public relation impressions will be published to a potential audience of 12-million. It is the most aggressive marketing plan to date for the BID.
Current marketing efforts have already begun to show results with more than 3,000 requests for downtown brochures to be mailed this month.
