Please be advised that Wednesday, June 23rd the PA Liquor Control Board approved temporary authority to operate for restaurant licensees to continue to utilize outdoor seating.

Under the extension, a restaurant licensee will be required to pay a $220 fee to file a permanent extension of premise application. The temporary authority to operate permits restaurants to continue to utilize outdoor seating while their application is being reviewed and until approved or until a protest petition is received. The extension of premise must continue to be in compliance with the Liquor Code (contiguous to licenses premise).

Just for clarification, outdoor areas that were approved under the emergency declaration will be able to continue to use the outdoor seating until a permanent extension is granted.
