Historic Preservation MonthMay 20, 2014 | Malcolm Johnstone

West Chester PA – As part of National Historic Preservation Month, the West Chester BID sponsored the 2014 West Chester Historic Architecture Student Photography Contest conducted by the Chester County Historical Society. The competition is open to all students in the 6th-to-12th grade.

Many of the students participated in National History Day held March 7 & 8 at the Chester County Historical Society. The photo contest is intended to increase student appreciation of the historic architecture in West Chester. There were over 50 student submissions.

Mayor Carolyn Comitta introduced the booklet that featured each of the winning photographs at the West Chester Borough Council meeting on May 28 as part of the recognition of West Chester’s dedication to Historic Preservation.
