For this week’s “Business Spotlight” we sat down with Craig Mosmen, Co-owner of The Couch Tomato Café, which is located at 31 West Gay Street!

1. What services or products do you offer?

The Couch Tomato Café has customizable salads, brick-oven pizzas, paninis, and homemade soups. We offer dining-in services inside and on our 2nd-floor rooftop deck, delivery, takeout, and catering services.

2. Tell me about your store and any particular things you believe make it unique.

We feel that our commitment to high-quality ingredients, focusing heavily on organic/locally sourced and dietary-conscious ingredients, makes us different from our competitors.

3. How long have you been in business?

Our first location was launched in 2003 (in Manayunk), then we opened the West Chester location in 2015, and now we are opening our Conshohocken location this summer!

4. What do you love most about being located in West Chester?

We love the West Chester community. Among all of the customers we have gotten to know over the years, along with the packed annual schedule of town events and activities, it’s just a fun place to be!

5. What can you tell me about the culture or atmosphere of your store?

Culture means everything to us. Our strong, professional culture and clear expectations make for happier staff that feel appreciated and respected. From a customer perspective, we have a spacious café with a very casual feel, great for a quick lunch out with family, dinner out with friends, or even a birthday or graduation party up on the rooftop deck!

6. Is there anything else you would like to share about your store?

We are a growing company that is always looking for strong talent, especially talent that looks to grow into management.
