Relâche brings the story to life with an original score composed by Londoner Joby Talbot, and arranged for the ensemble by Philadelphian Darin Kelly. The Lodger has become an essential part of the Relâche répertoire, and we always love presenting this for a fresh set of eyes and ears.

The first real “thriller” from legendary auteur Alfred Hitchcock is the film that put him on the map in his native England. The 1927 classic—one of his last silent films—brings edge-of-your-seat suspense together with ravishing composition and what would become his trademark whimsy.

This story of a mysterious stranger who arrives amid the London fog foreshadows Hitchcock’s unrivaled ability to create characters who are at once terrifying and sympathetic.
