BEGINNING BELLY DANCE FOR WOMEN
Wednesdays, January 13th-March 16th (10 weeks) | 7pm - 8pm
A beginner’s course of tribal belly dance will open up a new world of passion and dance to you, giving you a positive body image, comfort, and a feeling of belonging to your sisters in the dance troupe. Tribal dance is a group dance, performed with troupe mates. It focuses on building a community and a vocabulary of movements that you use to communicate. It is more focused on the dancers moving together and less on performing or looking good for an audience. For students with no belly dance experience. This class will provide a foundation in fast and slow tribal moves at a comfortable pace in a supportive environment. We break down classes into posture and movements, and then focus on layering your new skills into real dances.  Belly dance is an exercise, a self confidence booster, and a beautiful passion that the teacher wants to share with you. Cost: $120
Location: West Chester Wellness Center - 828 Paoli Pike; West Chester, PA 19380.
