West Chester PA -- Chief of Police Scott Bohn recently reported to Borough Council that the Police Department has effectively reduce serious crime (Part I) by 8% and quality-of-life crime (Part II) by 4% for the year-to-date.

This follows a year where crime was reduced by a remarkable 24% (I) and 11% (II), according to the report. This has West Chester continuing to be among communities with the lowest crime rate.

"This data, and the effort it reflects, bodes well for our community, businesses and visitors," said Chief Bohn.

"The professionalism and competence of the West Chester Police Department is known across the state," added Mayor Carolyn Comitta. "We all share my appreciation with the officers that continue to make West Chester a safe place -- and a great place -- to live and work!"
