West Chester PA -- Towns of the Philadelphia Countryside is a new promotional program developed by Visit Philadelphia, the new name of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism & Marketing Corporation, to showcase the charming small-town experiences found beyond Center City Philadelphia.

West Chester is one of just 15 communities outside Philadelphia to be featured in the year-long, $850,000 marketing effort funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development.

There is a webpage linked to DowntownWestChester.com found at VisitPhilly.com/towns/west-chester. Advertising will be heaviest in New York City at Penn Station and Washington, DC. It's been shown that visitors from these cities are most likely to visit Philadelphia and the Brandywine Valley.

The West Chester BID is very active in promoting visitorship to the Borough. It currently publishes a Downtown Brochure, Downtown Visitors Guide, and manages a comprehensive website at DowntownWestChester.com. The BID also works with other publications for positive articles.
