Public Forum on ObamaCare at Melton Center
WEST CHESTER, PA – A public forum on the Affordable Care Act is set for Tuesday, November 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center, 501 East Miner Street in West Chester.
The event will include educational presentations, informational materials and direct assistance with enrollment. It is open to the public and geared to both individuals and small businesses in need for information and assistance.
“The Melton Center, most recently with its popular Get It Done Day, has a tradition nearly a century long of providing education, information and assistance to the community regarding the range of social and civic resources that are available to them,” said Board member and event organizer, Mark Stevens. “An Affordable Care Act public forum is a natural extension of the tradition, and needed given both the lack of information and misinformation out there regarding this very important legislation.”
Other organizations and community leaders will be in attendance including:
- The office of Sen. Andy Dinniman (D-Chester County)
- West Chester Mayor Carolyn Comitta
- The West Chester Area Chamber of Commerce
- The Maternal & Child Health Consortium of Chester County
- The Pennsylvania Health Access Network & Resources for Human Development
The Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as ObamaCare, represents the most significant regulatory overhaul of the nation's healthcare system since the passage of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965. Enrollment is now open in the ACA healthcare marketplace where individuals can determine the least expensive plan which fits their needs in their State.
