Church Street Improvement Project

While delays have occurred, the Church Street Improvement Project continues to move forward
The Church Street Improvement Project continues to be delayed as approvals from PennDOT are secured. The earliest that project will begin is late fall of this year but more likely spring of 2011.
The $1.4 million is funded by Chester County, Pennsylvania Commonwealth and West Chester Borough funds. The project will provide new sidewalks, curbs, garbage cans, lampposts, and trees on Church Street between Chestnut and Miner Streets.
Once a construction date is set, the administration of the project will shift over to the Borough and contractors will be scheduled to work. At that point, the BID will organize and host a public meeting of the affected property and business owners for review of the project and any special considerations anyone wants to address.
